# TrustMyChoice — request a correction or appeal

`POST /v1/quality/corrections/request`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.scrubmytext.com`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Attaches a digest-only pending correction or appeal request. It does not prove provider identity, erase evidence, or guarantee an outcome. A Founding Access, legacy verified-contributor, or subscription key may be used.

  - `request_kind` 'correction' | 'appeal', required
  - `reason_code` 'inaccurate_target' | 'outdated_version' | 'methodology' | 'evidence' | 'error' | 'other', required
  - `correction_digest` string, required: A lowercase SHA-256 digest, with an optional sha256: prefix.

## Response `200`

Pending correction or appeal state

## Other responses

- `401`: Founding Access, verified-contributor, or subscription key required
- `422`: Invalid request
