# CompensateMyAction — bind and track compensation

`POST /v1/compensations/manage`

## Request

Binds a compensating-action digest before execution and records the primary and compensating lifecycle without performing either action.

## Request body

- object
  - `operation` 'bind' | 'check' | 'mark_executed' | 'compensate' | 'cancel', required
  - `control_id` string
  - `action_fingerprint` string: A lowercase SHA-256 digest, with an optional sha256: prefix.
  - `compensation_fingerprint` string: A lowercase SHA-256 digest, with an optional sha256: prefix.
  - `expires_in_seconds` integer

## Response `200`

Compensation lifecycle state

## Other responses

- `401`: Paid API key required
- `422`: Invalid operation-specific input
