# Delete a Flow instance

`DELETE /experimental/flow/instances/{instance_id}`

Deletes a trashed Flow instance, making it inaccessible to the author and administrator of the instance. Participants still have access to deleted instances for 30 days after the process has finished. Only trashed instances can be deleted.

**Note**: Deleting an instance is irreversible.

## Path parameters

- `instance_id` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier of the requested instance.
