# Delete a highlight

`DELETE /highlights/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.screvi.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.screvi.com/api/v1/highlights/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Soft delete. The highlight stops appearing in list and search results, and shows up in `GET /highlights?include_deleted=true` as a tombstone so sync clients can mirror the deletion. Idempotent: deleting an already-deleted highlight returns 200. Requires the `write` scope.
