# Get Instagram Post Comments

`GET /instagram/post/comments`

## Request

Retrieve the public top-level comments of an Instagram post or reel by shortcode, with pagination support.

## Query parameters

- `shortcode` string, required
- `max_id` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized - API key is missing or invalid
- `403`: Instagram explicitly requires login. Scrappa does not retry the login-gated resource. Profile lookups may recover from public profile data; unresolved login requirements are nonbillable and not retryable.
- `422`: The shortcode parameter is missing or invalid. The max_id cursor was rejected by Instagram. Cursors expire and are tied to the shortcode they were issued for — start again from the first page. The request does not consume credits.
- `503`: The upstream service is temporarily unavailable. Please retry shortly.
