# X (Twitter) single post + thread

`GET /api/v1/social/x/tweet`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://scrapewhale.dev`
- URL: `https://scrapewhale.dev/api/v1/social/x/tweet`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

One X (Twitter) post with full engagement counts, media, the quoted post if any, and the author's own unrolled thread (1/n, 2/n, …). X Articles (long-form posts) come with their full body as `article` (markdown, text, images) and are rendered in the markdown output. Accepts a post id or an `x.com/<handle>/status/<id>` URL.

Provide exactly one of: `id`, `url`.

**Credits: 1** (refunded on failure).

## Response `200`

Success.

- ExtractionResult: A completed extraction. `data` is omitted when format=markdown; `markdown` is omitted when format=json.

  - `extractor` string, required: Extractor name, e.g. "traffic", "meta-ads", "instagram-profile".
  - `title` string, nullable
  - `sourceUrl` string, nullable: Canonical public URL of the extracted source.
  - `creditsCharged` integer, required: 0 when served from the shared cache.
  - `cached` boolean: True when served from the shared extraction cache (free).
  - `createdAt` integer, required: Unix epoch milliseconds.
  - `data` object, nullable: Raw structured payload from the source.
  - `markdown` string: Clean markdown rendering of the payload.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid parameters.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `402`: Insufficient credits.
- `422`: Extraction/conversion failed — credits refunded. `code` carries the failure category.
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded (60 requests/min per key).
