# Scrape G2 software reviews

`POST /reviews/g2`

## Request

Given a G2 `product` (slug like `slack`, or a g2.com product URL), returns the product summary (`name`, `rating`, `reviewCount`, `starDistribution`, `categories`, `aiSummary`, `pros`, `cons`, `segments`) and its `reviews`: `title`, `rating`, `date`, `reviewer` (job title, industry, company size), `likeBest`, `dislike`, `problemsSolved`, the full `answers`, badges (`validatedReviewer`, `currentUser`, `incentivized`, `source`) and `vendorResponse`. Pages through G2's review pages up to `max_results` (10 per page, at most 10 pages per view); pick the view with `sort`, `stars` and `search`. `details=true` adds the vendor, description, website and languages. `mode=search&query=` searches G2's product catalog. Billed one unit per page fetched (`pagesFetched`).

## Query parameters

- `product` string, nullable: G2 product slug, e.g. 'slack' or 'hubspot-sales-hub', or a g2.com product URL such as https://www.g2.com/products/slack/reviews. Required unless mode=search.
- `mode` string: 'reviews' (default): a product's reviews. 'search': search G2's product catalog for `query`.
- `query` string, nullable: Keyword to search G2 products for (mode=search), e.g. 'crm'.
- `page` integer: 1-based page to start from: 10 reviews per page, at most 10 (G2's limit per sort/filter view); with mode=search 20 products per page, at most 20. Use the `nextPage` of a previous response to continue.
- `max_results` integer, nullable: How many reviews to collect across pages (1-100, default 10). With mode=search, how many products (1-100, default 20) - search answers whole pages of 20, so it can return a few more. Each page fetched is one billed unit.
- `sort` string: Review order: g2_default, most_recent, most_helpful, highest_rated, lowest_rated. Default: G2's own ranking.
- `stars` integer, nullable: Only reviews with this star rating (1-5).
- `search` string, nullable: Only reviews whose answers mention this keyword.
- `details` boolean: Also fetch the product page for its vendor, description, website and languages (one more billed unit).
- `proxy_country` string, nullable: Proxy country the request is sent from (ISO-2, e.g. 'US', 'DE'). Leave blank for the country chosen for the site.

JSON with `product`, a `reviews` array, totals and `nextPage` (or `results` with mode=search).

- `400`: Invalid parameters.
- `404`: G2 has no product with that slug.
- `422`: Validation Error
- `502`: Blocked by G2, no review page returned, or G2 did not answer in time.
