# Get one Google Maps place in full

`GET /google-maps/place`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.scrapefield.com/v1`
- URL: `https://api.scrapefield.com/v1/google-maps/place`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - none

Fetch one Google Maps listing in full: name, categories, formatted_address, location, rating, user_ratings_total, rating_distribution, price_level, phone numbers, website, opening_hours, the About tab and business_status. popular_times is in the object, and null where the source does not give it. Accepts a Google place_id — from a search, the Places API or anywhere else — or a Google Maps URL.

Give exactly one of `place_id` or `url` to identify the place.

Costs 3 credits, whether the answer is fetched or served from cache. A failed call is refunded automatically.

## Query parameters

- `place_id` string
- `url` string
- `language` string
- `fresh` boolean
- `demo` boolean

- object
  - `data` GoogleMapsPlace, required: One business or place, as its Google Maps listing shows it.
    - `place_id` string, required: Google's place ID — the same one the Places API and every Maps URL use.
    - `name` string, required: As the listing shows it.
    - `category` string, nullable, required: The category printed under the name, e.g. "Coffee shop".
    - `categories` string[], required: Every category on the listing, the main one first.
    - `formatted_address` string, nullable, required: The address as one line, as Google formats it.
    - `address` object, required: The same address in parts. Where the source gives the address as one line, only `country_code` is filled.
      - `street` string, nullable, required: Street and number. `null` where the source gives the address as one line: see `formatted_address`.
      - `city` string, nullable, required: City or town.
      - `region` string, nullable, required: State, province or region.
      - `postal_code` string, nullable, required: Postal or ZIP code.
      - `country_code` string, nullable, required: ISO 3166-1 alpha-2, e.g. `US`.
    - `location` object, nullable, required: The pin. `null` when the source does not give it.
      - `lat` number, required: Latitude.
      - `lng` number, required: Longitude.
    - `plus_code` string, nullable, required: The global plus code, e.g. `87G8P2QX+RV`.
    - `rating` number, nullable, required: The star rating, 1.0–5.0. `null` until the place has ratings.
    - `user_ratings_total` integer, nullable, required: How many ratings the star rating is the average of.
    - `rating_distribution` object, nullable, required: How many ratings of each star value, as the listing's bar chart shows them.
      - `1` integer, required: One-star ratings.
      - `2` integer, required: Two-star ratings.
      - `3` integer, required: Three-star ratings.
      - `4` integer, required: Four-star ratings.
      - `5` integer, required: Five-star ratings.
    - `price_level` integer, nullable, required: 0 (free) to 4 (very expensive), as the Places API counts it.
    - `formatted_phone_number` string, nullable, required: The phone number in local format.
    - `international_phone_number` string, nullable, required: With the country code, e.g. `+1 718-555-0142`.
    - `website` string, uri, nullable, required: The business's own site.
    - `url` string, uri, required: The place on Google Maps.
    - `business_status` 'OPERATIONAL' | 'CLOSED_TEMPORARILY' | 'CLOSED_PERMANENTLY', required: As the Places API reports it.
    - `opening_hours` object, nullable, required: Regular opening hours. `null` when the listing has none.
      - `weekday_text` string[], required: Seven lines, Monday first, as the listing prints them.
      - `periods` object[], required: The same hours as data. A place open around the clock has one period with no `close`.
        - `open` object, required: When it opens.
          - `day` integer, required: 0 is Sunday.
          - `time` string, required: 24-hour `HHMM`, local time.
        - `close` object, nullable, required: When it closes.
          - `day` integer, required: 0 is Sunday.
          - `time` string, required: 24-hour `HHMM`, local time.
    - `popular_times` object[], nullable, required: The "Popular times" chart. `null` for places too quiet to have one.
      - `day` integer, required: 0 is Sunday.
      - `busyness` integer[], required: Twenty-four values, midnight first, 0–100 relative to the place's busiest hour.
    - `about` object, required: The listing's About tab, by heading: `service_options`, `accessibility`, `amenities`, `payments` and so on — only the headings the place has.
    - `claimed` boolean, nullable, required: Whether the owner has claimed the listing. Unclaimed ones offer "Own this business?".
    - `photo` object, nullable, required: The listing's main photo.
      - `url` string, uri, required: The image on Google's CDN. We do not rehost images.
      - `width` integer, nullable, required: Pixels.
      - `height` integer, nullable, required: Pixels.
      - `author_name` string, nullable, required: Who uploaded it, as the listing credits them. `null` for the owner's own photos.
      - `author_url` string, uri, nullable, required: Their Google Maps contributor page.
  - `meta` Meta, required
    - `request_id` string, required: Quote this if you contact support.
    - `credits_charged` integer, required: The endpoint's published cost. 0 for a demo answer, and for a list emptied because everyone in it asked not to be served. A failed call has no `meta`: it answers with an error, and is refunded.
    - `credits_remaining` integer
    - `cached` boolean, required
    - `fetched_at` string, date-time, required: When the data was actually fetched — the original time on a cache hit, so freshness is always visible.
    - `next_cursor` string, nullable, required: Pass as `cursor` for the next page. `null` on the last page. It lasts as long as the answer is cached.
    - `demo` boolean: Present, and true, on a demo answer (`?demo=true` with no key).
    - `note` string: On a demo answer: what it is, and what a live call costs.
