# Check retractions

`POST /api/v1/check_retractions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://scholarmuse.ai`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Check DOIs for retractions, corrections and expressions of concern using Crossref (which carries the Retraction Watch database) and the OpenAlex retraction flag. Returns one record per DOI with the notice DOI, date and source. Pass DOIs, or a reference list from which DOIs are extracted.

Discipline pack: general. Cost: 1 credit per reference checked.

## Request body

- object
  - `dois` string[]: DOIs to check (10.xxxx/… or doi.org URLs), at most 100.
  - `references` string: Text containing DOIs, such as a reference list. Only references that include a DOI are checked.
