# Update a node's size and position

`POST /api/v1/topology/{id}/node-resize`

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- TopologyNodeResizeUpdate — Lightweight request type for updating a node's size and position. Used for subnet resize operations - instead of sending the entire topology, only sends the node ID, new size, and new position. Fixes HTTP 413 errors on resize operations.
  - `network_id` string, uuid, required — Network ID for authorization
  - `node_id` string, uuid, required — ID of the node to update
  - `position` Ixy, required
    - `x` integer, required
    - `y` integer, required
  - `size` Uxy, required — 2D unsigned coordinate. Used for node positions and sizes. Element node sizes are computed by the frontend (elkjs); the backend sets `Uxy::default()` for element nodes.
    - `x` integer, required
    - `y` integer, required
  - `view` 'L2Physical' | 'L3Logical' | 'Workloads' | 'Application', required — Which topology view is being rendered
