# Force Run

`POST /runs/{run}/actions/force`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://example.scalr.io/api/iacp/v3`
- URL: `https://example.scalr.io/api/iacp/v3/runs/{run}/actions/force`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Cancel all previous runs in pending or waiting for confirmation statuses.
If the workspace is locked by a finished run, the lock will be automatically
removed to allow the forced run to proceed.

## Path parameters

- `run` string, required

## Request body

- Comment: An optional explanation for why run action was done.
  - `comment` string: The reason.

## Response `202`

Successfully forced a run.

## Other responses

- `404`: Run not found, or user unauthorized to perform action.
- `409`: Workspace force_latest_run enabled or status is not pending. Force not allowed.
- `4XX`: Client error.
- `5XX`: Server error.
