# Create a Provider configuration parameter

`POST /provider-configurations/{provider_configuration}/parameters`

Create a new Provider configuration parameter.

  - `data` ProviderConfigurationParameter: The argument of the provider configuration.
    - `attributes` object, required
      - `description` string, nullable: Variable description.
      - `hcl` boolean: Indicates whether the value of the variable is a string of HCL code.
      - `key` string, required: Parameter name.
      - `sensitive` boolean: Indicates whether the value is sensitive. When set to `true` then the parameter is not visible after being written.
      - `value` string, nullable: Parameter value. Not visible if sensitive: true is enabled
    - `id` string
    - `links` object
    - `relationships` object
      - `provider-configuration` object
        - `data` object, nullable, required
          - `id` string, required
          - `type` 'provider-configurations' | '', required

## Other responses

- `403`: User unauthorized to perform action.
- `404`: Provider configuration not found.
- `422`: Malformed request body (missing attributes, wrong types, etc.) or parameter cant be created for this provider.
- `4XX`: Client error.
- `5XX`: Server error.
