# Send a templated email.

`POST /v1/email/send/tx`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.scalix.world`
- URL: `https://api.scalix.world/v1/email/send/tx`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Renders `template` with `data` and sends it to `to`. Requires the
`email:send` scope.

## Request body

- EmailSendTxRequest: A templated transactional email to send.
  - `template` string, required: Name of the template to render.
  - `to` string, required: Recipient address.
  - `data` object, nullable: Variables substituted into the template.

## Response `200`

Email accepted for delivery

- EmailSendResponse: The accepted-for-delivery receipt returned by both send endpoints.
  - `id` string, required: Message id, used to correlate later delivery events.
  - `status` string, required: Delivery state at the time of the response.
  - `to` string, required: Recipient the message was accepted for.
  - `template` string, nullable: Template used, echoed back on the templated send.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `403`: Missing email:send scope
- `500`: Internal error
- `503`: Bring-your-own delivery is not enabled for this org
