# Owner: set the defaults for one role or custom role. They reach everyone with it who has not changed their own choices. Signed-in member only; API keys and MCP are refused.

  - `role` 'owner' | 'manager' | 'receptionist' | 'practitioner'
  - `custom_role_id` string
  - `preferences` object: Catalogue key to { in_app, email, sms }. Texts only for urgent entries.
  - `digest_enabled` boolean: Daily summary on or off by default for this role
