# Look up industry names

`POST /api/v1/people/industries/resolve`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.scalelist.com`
- URL: `https://api.scalelist.com/api/v1/people/industries/resolve`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Check which industry categories a search will actually match, before you run it.

Each word comes back as one of:
• `resolved`: with the exact category names a search will filter on
• `unresolved`: no matching category, so a search would match it as profile text instead; `suggestions` lists nearby real categories
• `unverified`: the lookup failed, try again
