# Find an email address

`POST /api/v1/email/find/single`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.scalelist.com`
- URL: `https://api.scalelist.com/api/v1/email/find/single`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Find a verified professional email from a person's name and company.

Provide a **name** (`first_name` or `full_name`) and a **company** (`company_domain` or `company_name`). `last_name` is optional.

**1 credit**, charged only when an email is found.

    - `first_name` string, required: Provide first_name (last_name optional), OR full_name
    - `last_name` string: Optional, may be omitted or empty
    - `full_name` string: Alternative to first_name + last_name. Split on whitespace; everything after the first token becomes the last name
    - `company_domain` string, required: Company domain without @ (provide this OR company_name)
    - `company_name` string: Company name, used to resolve a domain if company_domain is omitted
    - `custom` object: Arbitrary metadata echoed back in the response and webhook payload
    - `webhook_url` string, uri: If supplied, the result is POSTed here once resolution completes
    - `sync` boolean: When false, returns 202 immediately and delivers the result only via webhook_url
