# List an issue's history

`GET /issues/{issueId}/history`

List an issue's activity oldest first, as the issue page shows it: who did what and when, with the note and the document each entry carries. The `created` entry carries the issue's report.

    - `metadata` object, nullable, required: Details of the entry, such as the severity levels of a severity change.
    - `mdxSource` string, nullable, required: The entry's document as MDX source, when it carries one: the report on the `created` entry, an update on an `updated` entry.
    - `mdxDocument` object, nullable, required: The same document compiled to Sazabi's MDX render tree, for rendering without an MDX compiler. Null when there is no document or it failed to compile.
