# Install an automation template

`POST /automation-templates/{templateId}/install`

Create an independent customer-owned automation from the selected published template version. Later catalog updates and retirement do not change the copy. Required project dependencies must be connected first.

  - `expectedVersion` integer, required

  - `inputs` object, required
  - `enabled` boolean, required — Explicit activation choice for the independent customer copy.
