# Count saves: all, or by category, period, words they mention, kind and privacy

`GET /api/v1/saves/count`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://savehq.app`
- URL: `https://savehq.app/api/v1/saves/count`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

The exact total, a count per category, links/notes/files, and the newest matches. Places are matched by the words in each save, so a save that never names the place isn't counted.

## Query parameters

- `period` string
- `since` string, date
- `until` string, date
- `mentions` string
- `kind` 'link' | 'note' | 'file'
- `private` boolean
- `limit` integer

## Response `200`

total, by_category, by_kind, newest

## Other responses

- `400`: Something to fix in the request
- `401`: Missing, expired or revoked API key or token
- `429`: Over 60 requests a minute for this person; retry after 60 seconds
