# Extend a sandbox lifetime

`POST /sandboxes/{id}/extend`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://sandbox-as-a-service.com/v1`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Pushes the expiry further out, up to 1440 minutes after creation.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters.
- `404`: No sandbox with that id for this account.
- `409`: Sandbox is not running.
