# \[beta\] Update a Ground Intelligence issue

## Request

Updates the status, type, or dismissal metadata for a Ground Intelligence road-condition issue.

 <b>Rate limit:</b> 100 requests/min (learn more about rate limits <a href="https://developers.samsara.com/docs/rate-limits" target="_blank">here</a>).

To use this endpoint, select **Write Ground Intelligence Issues** under the Ground Intelligence category when creating or editing an API token. <a href="https://developers.samsara.com/docs/authentication#scopes-for-api-tokens" target="_blank">Learn More.</a>

  - `dismissalReason` 'notMyJurisdiction' | 'knownIssue' | 'duplicate' | 'inaccurateDetection' | 'other': Reason for dismissing the issue. Required when status is dismissed. Valid values: `notMyJurisdiction`, `knownIssue`, `duplicate`, `inaccurateDetection`, `other`
  - `status` 'needsReview' | 'reviewed' | 'resolved' | 'dismissed': Customer-facing review status for the issue. Valid values: `needsReview`, `reviewed`, `resolved`, `dismissed`
  - `type` 'pothole' | 'roadCracking' | 'patchedPothole' | 'transverseCrack' | 'longitudinalCrack' | 'alligatorCrack' | 'utilityCut' | 'steelPlate' | 'repavingNeeded': Customer-facing road-condition type for the issue. Valid values: `pothole`, `roadCracking`, `patchedPothole`, `transverseCrack`, `longitudinalCrack`, `alligatorCrack`, `utilityCut`, `steelPlate`, `repavingNeeded`

      - `roadClass` string: Read-only Base Maps Overture road-class slug for the matched road segment (for example, motorway or residential), when available. Sourced from basemapsservice; not writable via update.
      - `roadName` string: Road name associated with this issue, when available.
      - `roadSurface` string: Read-only Base Maps Overture surface slug covering the issue's snapped position (for example, paved or gravel), when available. Sourced from basemapsservice; not writable via update.
    - `severity` string: Customer-facing severity level for this issue.
    - `status` string: Current customer-facing review status of this issue.
    - `type` 'unknown' | 'pothole' | 'roadCracking' | 'patchedPothole' | 'transverseCrack' | 'longitudinalCrack' | 'alligatorCrack' | 'utilityCut' | 'steelPlate' | 'repavingNeeded': Customer-facing type for this issue. Valid values: `unknown`, `pothole`, `roadCracking`, `patchedPothole`, `transverseCrack`, `longitudinalCrack`, `alligatorCrack`, `utilityCut`, `steelPlate`, `repavingNeeded`
    - `updatedAtTime` string: Time when this issue record was most recently updated.
