# Create new QR code for driver

`POST /drivers/qr-codes`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.samsara.com`
- URL: `https://api.samsara.com/drivers/qr-codes`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Assign a new QR code for the requested driver. Return error if an active QR code already exists.

 <b>Rate limit:</b> 100 requests/min (learn more about rate limits <a href="https://developers.samsara.com/docs/rate-limits" target="_blank">here</a>).

## Request body

- DriverQrCodesCreateDriverQrCodeRequestBody: Driver to assign a new QR code to.
  - `driverId` integer, required: Unique ID of the driver.

## Response `200`

OK response.

- DriverQrCodesCreateDriverQrCodeResponseBody
  - `data` QrCodeResponseObjectResponseBody, required: A single document.
    - `driverId` integer, required: ID for the driver the QR code belongs to.
    - `qrCodeLink` string: URL link to the driver assignment QR code. Included if a QR code has been created for the driver.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized response.
- `404`: Not Found response.
- `405`: Method Not Allowed response.
- `413`: Content Too Large response.
- `429`: Too Many Requests response.
- `500`: Internal Server Error response.
- `501`: Not Implemented response.
- `502`: Bad Gateway response.
- `503`: Service Unavailable response.
- `504`: Gateway Timeout response.
- `default`: Bad Request response.
