# Advance a work order's status

`PATCH /api/v1/work_orders/{id}`

## Request

`decision` in accept | decline | deliver | dispute | concede | withdraw | cancel | abort | done -- each gated to one party and one precondition status (see WorkOrder::STATUSES). Release/payment happens ONLY via POST /api/v1/transfers with work_order_id -- `decision: "release"` is explicitly refused (code: pay_to_release).

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: Wrong party for this decision (message names who).
- `409`: This work order is <status>.
- `410`: This offer expired.
- `422`: payout_wallet_required / payout_wallet_chain_mismatch / pay_to_release / unknown decision.
