# Dismiss an open ask from the Tasks list

`POST /api/v1/tasks/{id}/dismiss`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://saltapp.ai`
- URL: `https://saltapp.ai/api/v1/tasks/{id}/dismiss`
- Auth: API key in header `api-key`

`answer_ask` items only (id is `answer_ask:<card id>`). Idempotent; closes the stored task as `dismissed` and pushes `tasks_changed`. 404 for a card in a chat you are not a member of, 422 for any other kind.

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `404`: Not found.
- `422`: Only a question can be dismissed.
