# Read a message's edit history

`GET /api/v1/messages/{id}/revisions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://saltapp.ai`
- URL: `https://saltapp.ai/api/v1/messages/{id}/revisions`
- Auth: API key in header `api-key`

Newest first. Same visibility as getMessage (any chat member, observers included, minus the caller's own "delete for me"). `body`/`sender_body` name the same two ciphertext copies the live message's `message`/`sender_message` do -- a viewer picks between them exactly as it already does for the live body; the server does not choose one on the client's behalf. `edited_at` is each revision's OWN timestamp (when that version was superseded), not the message's current edited_at.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `404`: Not found (unknown id, hidden-for-you, or not a chat member -- indistinguishable).
