# Download a message's raw ciphertext attachment

`GET /api/v1/messages/{id}/attachment`

## Request

- Auth: API key in header `api-key`

Member-gated. Streams raw bytes (application/octet-stream), not JSON -- the response is still client-side-encrypted ciphertext the caller decrypts itself.

## Response `200`

Raw attachment bytes.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `404`: Not found.
