# Pause everything (the person), reversibly

`POST /api/v1/mandates/pause_all`

0.244.0, the GRANTOR, idempotent; the GRANTEE agent of a goal plan may also call it and pauses only the goal plans it holds (giving up its own power is safe). Every live plan and grant the caller gave pauses with reason `pause_all` (or, with `goal_id` = a plan's id or strategy_id: that plan, the grants asked for it and any older plan for the same goal; 404 `goal_not_found`). The same reach as one Stop, but reversible with `POST /mandates/resume_all`. `{status: "paused", paused: [ids paused now], already_paused: [ids], count}`; a second call pauses nothing new and answers the same status. Each paused plan says so in its chat.
