# The recipient is looking (the recipient)

`POST /api/v1/help_requests/{id}/view`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://saltapp.ai`
- URL: `https://saltapp.ai/api/v1/help_requests/{id}/view`
- Auth: API key in header `api-key`

Tells the asker (`viewing` live event) and the computer (`help_request_viewing` delivery, with the viewer's name) so it sends a picture now. Only while the request is open; once every 5 seconds.

  - `help_request` object: A ring: ids, the reason and the status. Never the question or a picture.

    - `person_id` string: The recipient.

    - `message_id` string: The help question, an encrypted message the asker sent.
    - `reason` 'stuck' | 'which' | 'unclear' | 'look'
    - `status` 'open' | 'answered' | 'withdrawn' | 'ended'
    - `device_session_id` string, nullable
    - `device` object, nullable: The computer the request rides on; null without a session.
      - `id` string

      - `lane_chat_id` string: The device lane the stills and points travel in.
    - `created_at` string, date-time
    - `closed_at` string, date-time, nullable
    - `last_viewed_at` string, date-time, nullable

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `404`: Unknown or not yours to view.
- `409`: Closed.
- `429`: More than once every 5 seconds.
