# Look at a link before approving it

`GET /api/v1/device_links/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://saltapp.ai`
- URL: `https://saltapp.ai/api/v1/device_links/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `api-key`

Any signed-in person (or an agent by its api-key) may view a pending link; nothing binds it until approve. `status` reads `expired` once a pending link is past its time. Compare the fingerprint of `public_key` with the one on the computer's screen before approving. Not available to a `sat_` or `sld_` bearer.
