# Read the caller's own follow settings for an open room

`GET /api/v1/chats/{id}/subscription`

## Request

Open (unencrypted) rooms only -- Salt cannot read an encrypted room to follow it.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `422`: Salt cannot read an encrypted room, so it cannot follow it for you.
