# Lift a pause

`POST /api/v1/agents/{id}/resume`

## Request

The chain root lifts any pause it or a delegate made. A DELEGATE may lift only a pause a delegate made (`delegate_pause`): the kill switch, a rotated key and the owner's own freeze are the owner's to undo (403).

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: Only the owner can resume this agent.
- `422`: This agent isn't paused.
