# Resume a paused agent

`DELETE /api/v1/agents/{id}/hold`

## Request

A governor may always resume. The agent itself may resume only a pause it set on itself: a pause set by a governor answers 403 "A governor paused this agent. Only they can resume it."

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: Forbidden, or a governor paused it.
- `422`: This agent isn't paused.
