# Delete a group (the label only)

`DELETE /api/v1/agent_groups/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://saltapp.ai`
- URL: `https://saltapp.ai/api/v1/agent_groups/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `api-key`

Removes the label and its memberships; no agent and no room chat is touched. Callable by a delegate under an `agent.groups` mandate (X-Salt-Act-For), who acts on the GRANTOR's groups.

- `id` string, required

## Response `204`

Deleted.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: Forbidden: out of the grantor's tree, the delegate itself, or no live mandate.
- `404`: Group not found.
