# Create roomType

`POST /roomTypes`

Create a new roomType with a name

## Request body

- object — Create roomType properties
  - `name` string, required — Name of the roomType
  - `isEnabled` boolean — If the roomType is active
  - `settings` object — Default settings for roomType
  - `rules` object[] — Default rules for roomType
  - `bots` string[] — Default bots for roomType
  - `owner` string — The name of the user to assign as the owner. Defaults to the user that created it

## Response `201`

Created roomType

- RoomTypeResponse — A response for information about a bot
  - `id` string — The UUID of the roomType specified
  - `name` string — The roomType being used in the specified room
  - `isEnabled` boolean — Flag indicating whether a roomType is enabled to use on rooms
  - `settings` object — Key-value pairs used to configure bots and rooms intial state
  - `rules` object[] — Array containing the rules that trigger automations for rooms of this type
  - `bots` string[] — Array containing the bots to be used for rooms of this type
  - `createdBy` string — Id of the User who created this roomType.

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request
- `401` — Authentication Error
- `403` — Forbidden
- `default` — Error
