# Submit a Social checklist item's output for approval

`POST /social/checklist/items/{id}/submissions`

Hand one item's finished output to a person. A social_post becomes one post at needs_review in the Social review queue. A document, for an item whose person action is Approve, Request change or Deny, becomes one pending approval card; when a person asked for a change on the item's last card, it is the redo. 409 card_waiting while a card waits for a person, 409 output_kind_not_accepted when the item does not take that output. Nothing is published, sent, approved or scheduled by this call: a person decides. Requires the social_checklist.submit scope.

## Request body

- object: output_kind social_post takes platform, title, body, scheduled_for. output_kind document takes title, body, summary. A field the kind does not take is refused.
  - `output_kind` 'social_post' | 'document', required: social_post goes to the Social review queue; document becomes an approval card.
  - `platform` 'linkedin' | 'x' | 'instagram' | 'facebook' | 'tiktok' | 'blog' | 'youtube' | 'youtube_shorts' | 'pinterest' | 'threads': social_post only: the channel the post is written for.
  - `title` string: Required for a document (at most 200 characters, the card's title); optional for a social_post.
  - `body` string, required: The finished work a person reviews. A social_post body is at most 20000 characters; a document's summary and body together fit an approval card, at most 4000.
  - `scheduled_for` string, date-time: social_post only: a suggested publish time in the future. The reviewer sets the real one.
  - `summary` string: document only: one or two lines shown above the body on the approval card.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid JSON body or field validation failure.
- `401`: Missing, malformed, invalid, revoked, or expired API key.
- `402`: The workspace is read-only for billing reasons and cannot write through a key.
- `403`: The key does not hold the required scope for this operation.
- `404`: No catalog item has this id (code item_not_found).
- `429`: Per-key write rate limit exceeded (60 requests / 60s).
- `500`: Insert failure.
- `503`: The database / API-keys table is not provisioned.
