# Site Hit

`POST /site/hit`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://safefamilyapp.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://safefamilyapp.com/site/hit`
- Auth: none declared

A page was opened, or something worth counting happened. Answers 204 either way: a beacon
is sent as the page unloads and nothing must wait on it.

The body is read and parsed here rather than declared as a parameter, because navigator
.sendBeacon posts it as text/plain. That is deliberate: a text/plain POST is a simple request,
so the browser sends it straight out instead of asking permission first, and a count is not
worth a second round trip.
