# Send Event Type Example Message

`POST /endpoint/{endpoint_id}/send-example`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sinay.ai/webhook/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.sinay.ai/webhook/api/v1/endpoint/{endpoint_id}/send-example`
- Auth: API key in header `API_KEY`

Send an example message for a specific event. Note that this will only sent demo data (and not real tracking data) This can only be used to send event types that are configured for the endpoint.

## Path parameters

- `endpoint_id` string, required: The ep's ID or UID To retrieve your endpoints ids, use GET /endpoint.

- `idempotency-key` string

## Request body

  - `eventType` string, required: The event type's name

## Response `202`

- MessageOut
  - `eventId` string, nullable: Optional unique identifier for the message
  - `eventType` string, required: The event type's name
  - `payload` object, required
  - `channels` string[], nullable: List of free-form identifiers that endpoints can filter by
  - `id` string, required: The msg's ID
  - `timestamp` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found. Endpoint not found
- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Too Many Requests
- `500`: Internal Error
