# Create a client application

`POST /application`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sinay.ai/webhook/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.sinay.ai/webhook/api/v1/application`
- Auth: API key in header `API_KEY`

Create your client application. This step is mandatory before creating endpoints and monitoring shipments. The name of your application should be your company name.

## Request body

- ApplicationIn
  - `name` string, required: The application name can be your company name.
  - `rateLimit` integer, nullable: Maximum number of requests you wish to allow to your application by second.
  - `uid` string, nullable: Optional unique identifier for the application
  - `metadata` object

## Response `200`

- ApplicationOut
  - `name` string, required
  - `rateLimit` integer, nullable: Rate limit of your application in messages per second.
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `403`: Forbidden
- `409`: Conflict. You already have an application, proceed to endpoint creation.
- `422`: Validation Error. The payload does not have the necessary information or format.
- `429`: Too Many Requests
- `500`: Internal Error
