# Send an auth email code on the home region (service secret)

`POST /internal/auth-email/start`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.rxfoodapp.com/api`
- URL: `https://api.rxfoodapp.com/api/internal/auth-email/start`
- Auth: none required

US-only in stg/prod. Bearer ALLOCATE_USER_ID_SECRET. Canada calls this when the reservation home is US. Same body as the public start endpoint. Does not apply the public rate limit (Canada already did). 404 on Canada stg/prod. The raw email is the home-region lookup key and is not written on Canada.

- AuthEmailStartRequest
  - `email` string, required

## Response `202`

accepted; email sent according to account state

## Other responses

- `401`: missing or wrong service secret
- `404`: forward target is not hosted on this deploy
