# Export Termbase

`POST /termbases/{termbaseId}/exports`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.eu.cloud.trados.com/public-api/v1`

- Auth: none declared. Required headers: `Authorization`, `X-LC-Tenant`

Generates an asynchronous export operation.<br>
Use the [Poll Export Termbase](#/operations/PollExportTermbase) endpoint to poll until the export status is `done`.

## Request body

  - `format` 'xml' | 'tbx': The file format used to export the termbase.
  - `properties` TermbaseExportPropertiesRequest
    - `downloadCompressed` boolean: Download compressed ( zipped ).

OK

- TermbaseExportResponse
  - `id` string, required: The termbase export identifier.
  - `status` 'queued' | 'processing' | 'done' | 'cancelled' | 'error', required: The status of the export operation.<br> `queued` - The export passed the structural validation and it's waiting to be processed.<br> `processing` - The export is in progress.<br> `done` - The export was successfully processed .<br> `canceled` - The export process was interrupted.<br> `error` - The export was unsuccessful due to an internal error.
  - `errorMessage` string: When status is 'error', contains the error message explaining what went wrong.
  - `downloadUrl` string: The url where the file can be downloaded.

## Other responses

- `400`: Error codes: * "invalid": Invalid input in the query parameter mentioned in the “name” field on the error response.
- `401`: The user could not be identified.
- `403`: Error codes: * "forbidden": - The authenticated user is not allowed to read entry. * "entitlementMissing": - Your subscription does not include access to the requested type of benefit.
- `404`: Error codes: * "notFound": - The specified termbase was not found.
