# Get Verification Messages

`GET /projects/{projectId}/target-files/{targetFileId}/versions/{fileVersionId}/verification-messages`

Retrieves the verification messages of a target file version. Verification messages are only available after the file has gone through the Automated QA Check workflow step; otherwise, an empty list is returned.

    - `errorMessage` string: <div style="display:inline; float:right; color:#008080; margin-top:-23px; font-size:11px">default</div><div style="display: inline;">The localized error message, with error arguments substituted in.</div>
    - `detailedErrorMessage` string: <div style="display:inline; float:right; color:#008080; margin-top:-23px; font-size:11px">default</div><div style="display: inline;">The localized detailed error message, with error arguments substituted in.</div>
    - `suggestion` string: The localized suggestion for resolving the message.
    - `segmentId` string: <div style="display:inline; float:right; color:#008080; margin-top:-23px; font-size:11px">default</div><div style="display: inline;">The identifier of the segment the message relates to.</div>

## Other responses

- `400`: Error codes: * “invalid”: Invalid input in the query parameter mentioned in the “name” field on the error response.
- `401`: The user could not be identified.
- `403`: Error codes: * "forbidden": the authenticated user is not allowed to read the resource.
- `404`: Error codes: * "notFound": the project, the target file or its version could not be found by identifier.
