# Approve a fix request

`PUT /app/{appId}/release/{releaseId}/fixRequest/{fixRequestId}/approve`

## Request

- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Approve a fix request. The API key must have the `UpdateFixRequestStatus` user action. When the app requires multiple approvals, the fix stays in Pending until the required number of distinct approvers have approved.

A fix request entity

- FixRequestEntity: A fix request on a release.
  - `id` string: The fix request id.
  - `status` 'Pending' | 'Approved' | 'Rejected': Current status of the fix request.
  - `source` string: Where the fix request originated (e.g. webApp, prTitleToken, slackAction).
  - `formFieldsSettings` FixRequestFormFieldSettings[]: The form field settings snapshotted onto this fix request at creation time.
    - `fieldId` string: Stable id for the field. Pass this as `fieldId` in `formFieldsValues` when creating a fix request.
    - `name` string: Display name of the field.
    - `placeholder` string: Placeholder hint text shown for the input.
    - `prePopulatedText` string: Default text pre-populated into the field.
    - `required` boolean: Whether a non-empty value is required for this field.
    - `minCharacters` integer: Minimum number of characters required, if any.
  - `formFieldsValues` FixRequestFormFieldValue[]: The values supplied for this fix request's form fields.
    - `fieldId` string: The id of the form field this value is for (from FixRequestFormFieldSettings).
    - `value` string: The value supplied for the field.
  - `createdAt` string, date-time: When the fix request was created.
  - `deletedAt` string, date-time, nullable: When the fix request was deleted, if applicable.
  - `statusUpdatedAt` string, date-time: When the status was last updated.
  - `currentApprovals` integer: Number of distinct approvers who have approved this fix.
  - `requiredApprovals` integer: Number of approvals required for the fix to be approved.
  - `requester` FixRequestUser: A minimal user representation surfaced on fix request payloads.
