# Export an app's configuration file (v2)

`GET /app/{appId}/config-file`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.runway.team`
- URL: `https://api.runway.team/app/{appId}/config-file`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Returns the app's current configuration as a Configuration as Code (v2) YAML file, with every section filled in. Edit it and send it to `planConfigFileChanges` to update the app, or remove `app.id` to create a new app like it. Applying an unchanged export changes nothing. Requires an admin API key. See [Configuration as Code](https://docs.runway.team/api/configuration-as-code) for the file format.

## Response `200`

The app's configuration file.

## Other responses

- `403`: The API key does not have permission to perform this action
- `404`: Resource not found response
