# Enable or disable a scheduled release automation

`PUT /app/{appId}/automations`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.runway.team`
- URL: `https://api.runway.team/app/{appId}/automations`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Turns a scheduled release automation on or off without changing its settings. Requires the API key to have the EditAutomations user action.

- `appId` string, required

  - `automationType` 'kickoff' | 'submit' | 'release' | 'halt' | 'promote' | 'resume_rollout', required: Scheduled automation to update
  - `enabled` boolean, required: Whether the automation should be enabled

## Response `200`

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request response
- `403`: The API key does not have permission to perform this action
- `404`: Resource not found response
