# Pause or resume automations

`PUT /app/{appId}/automations/pause`

## Request

Pause or resume automations for an app using a single endpoint. Set enabled to false to pause and true to resume. Omit automationIds to pause or resume all automations; provide one or more automationIds to affect only those types.

## Path parameters

- `appId` string, required

## Request body

- SetAutomationPauseRequestBody
  - `enabled` boolean, required: Whether automations should be active. Set to false to pause and true to resume.
  - `automationIds` string[]: Optional automation types to pause or resume (e.g. AutoKickoff, AutoSubmit, AutoRelease). Omit to pause or resume all automations.

## Response `200`

Automation pause state response

- AutomationPauseStateEntity: Current automation pause state for an app.
  - `allAutomationsPaused` boolean: Whether all automations are paused for the app
  - `pausedAutomationTypes` string[]: Automation types that are individually paused

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request response
- `404`: Resource not found response
