# Test an alert

`POST /v1/alerts/{id}/test`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.rumoro.dev`
- URL: `https://api.rumoro.dev/v1/alerts/{id}/test`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Sends a test message to each of the alert's channels now and returns each outcome. Webhooks receive the event `test`.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required: The alert's id (feed_...).

## Response `200`

A test was tried on each of the alert's channels

  - `outcomes` object[], required
    - `channelId` string, required
    - `ok` boolean, required
    - `error` string, nullable, required

## Other responses

- `401`: The API key is missing or not valid
- `404`: No alert with this id
