# Create a tax rate

`POST /tax-rates`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.ruddr.io/api/workspace`
- URL: `https://www.ruddr.io/api/workspace/tax-rates`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required: The name of the tax rate. Max 255 characters.
  - `rate` number, required: The tax rate to be applied to invoices, expressed as a decimal between 0 and 1.
  - `isActive` boolean: Whether the tax rate is active. Defaults to `true` if not provided.

  - `id` string: The unique identifier for the object.
  - `name` string: The name of the tax rate.
  - `isActive` boolean: Whether the tax rate is active.
  - `rate` number: The tax rate applied to invoices, expressed as a decimal between 0 and 1.
  - `createdAt` string, date-time: The timestamp when the object was created.
