# Update a tax rate

`PATCH /tax-rates/{id}`

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string: The name of the tax rate. Max 255 characters.
  - `rate` number: The tax rate to be applied to invoices, expressed as a decimal between 0 and 1.
  - `isActive` boolean: Whether the tax rate is active.

  - `isActive` boolean: Whether the tax rate is active.
