# Prepare Secret

`POST /v1/secrets/prepare`

Create a secret slot and return temporary write-only STS credentials.
The MCP client uses these credentials to write the value directly to
AWS Secrets Manager — this server never sees the plaintext.

## Request body

- PrepareRequest
  - `name` string, required
  - `description` string

## Response `200`
