# Roma's journal of what happened, for a span and words

`GET /api/v1/memory/lookup`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.roma.app`
- URL: `https://api.roma.app/api/v1/memory/lookup`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Read Roma's journal of what happened: one entry per day, week or month, written by Roma from the user's tasks, notes, chats and connected apps (never the user's own words). Use it for "what did I do with the accountant in March", "what happened last week", or anything before the few days get_context carries. A span (from, to; 90 days back by default, up to yesterday) and, when given, two to five plain words an entry would contain; a long span without words answers headlines only, to narrow the next call. A day entry names the tasks and notes it touched with their links. Returns `entries` newest first and a `note` about what was searched; nothing is invented when the journal has nothing.

## Query parameters

- `from` string: First local day of the span, YYYY-MM-DD. Without it: 90 days back.
- `to` string: Last local day of the span, YYYY-MM-DD, inclusive. Without it: yesterday.
- `query` string: Two to five plain words a matching entry would contain — a person's name, a place, a thing. Any word matches.
- `kind` 'day' | 'week' | 'month': Only entries of this period. Leave out to get whatever fits.
